There have been a lot of awareness and attention lately on the subject of Empaths. There are many articles and posts being written to define what an Empath is in order for Empaths to identify themselves. I read my first article about two years ago and it really hit me that I have highly empathic traits, and I suddenly understood myself better. I am a firm believer that how we feel and react to the world, is an reflection of the strength and the wounding within us. Situations and people might affect us very harshly if we have un-healed wounds from our past and we have to face those fears and hurts in order to overcome them. However, the highly Empathic people seem to have a whole set of intricate traits that no matter background or upbringing are the same for everyone.
My entire life I have been a highly sensitive and emotional being, always feeling myself forward in life and also taking on other people's feelings and states. The physical traits for me has been:
The solution for me has been; detoxing from situations, environments and foods that are toxic physically, mentally and emotionally and replacing it with natural foods and positive people with good intentions. It can be hard at times to avoid all of these external factors and I have found tourmaline and other crystals being great for shielding my energy body. Just the fact that you acknowledge and understand that you hold an empathic gift is in itself a great step to understanding yourself and others. Embrace these traits and you will grow your love for yourself and others.
