I truly believe in divine synchronicity and that the Universe provides us with the right people at the right moment in life. Both these women in this picture, Yuko my Reiki Master from Japan to my left, and Ann Murugan who is a Reiki healer and mental coach for climate awareness, came into my life in the most synchronistic way and they have been such a big part of my healing and spiritual growth.

Ann and me first connected many years ago when I was working for a big corporation and she called in for help and support in her online communication. We ended up talking all about her mission and also about the art of healing. I was just beginning tapping into these realms and I knew that she was brought to me for a higher purpose than just that call. Many years passed and I ended up connecting with Reiki through a healing that made a profound change within in, which in turn led me to take my first Reiki attunement while I was in Tokyo and I met my lovely Reiki master Yuko.

After my attunement I felt a strong urge to connect with Ann, who lives in one of the most northern parts of Sweden. She is truly a light worker and earth healer, here on a mission to heal the world and earth through growing mankind's awareness. The image above is from a weekend of healing and meditation that we had with a group of amazing people where we meditated in nature, did kundalini yoga and I held a moon meditation. The energies where very powerful and Ann truly conveyed her strengths through helping us connect with  Gaia.

Our social media feeds are filled with negativity and it instills a sense of urgency and fear within us, therefore I want to also highlight that there is so much love and light in our world and people that are working in the opposite direction of what the media and news are highlighting everyday. Today I truly want to highlight Ann, my good friend and lightworker.

Ann is a mental coach in the area of sustainable development and climate psychology. She assists her clients how to overcome climate anxiety, how to communicate sustainability effectively and how to make real change from the inside out.

About BeChange
BeChange participants have now finished 2/3 of the BeChange program, which has focused on what and how they eat and their homes. The results: They decreased their carbon emissions by 50%.

At the same time their hopefulness increased by 25% and their climate anxiety decreased by 17%.

By working on the mind, they increased their ability to reach their goals. Earth role in BeChange is as a Social Innovator and mental coach to BeChange 26 amazing participants, ensuring that they successfully and joyfully undergo this 10 month process of carbon dieting.

"BeChange - Carbondiet with climate therapy" is a one million SEK green project funded by the Swedish EPA, Luleå Council and Studiefrämjandet. For more information, please visit the project homepage here (in swedish only).

If you are on the same mission you can watch this documentary for inspiration and also visit Ann's Facebook page. This project is truly proof of how commitment from a few passionate people can help to shift the vibration and the health of Earth and us.

Much love and blessings to you Ann.

OM Symbol

I have always had a fascination for the sacred and mystic symbols and their meaning. It is not until I understood quantum physics and the law of energy and vibration that I understood why there are certain shapes and forms in religions and cultures that hold a sacred purpose. Symbols are more than just art and drawings that symbolizes certain beliefs and truths, they actually within themselves vibrate and emit energy just through their shape and the meaning that they hold. This I have learned through the art of Reiki.

The one symbol that I have found truly beautiful and mystic for many years is the Om symbol. We have all seen it and it is so widely spread that we don't know the root of it and why it was created. Om or Aum, stems from the hindu culture and the chanting of this sound is the highest of all mantras. As I wrote in another post, the A-U-M represents the past, present and the future and explains the three-folded nature of existence; earth, atmosphere and heaven. Brahma, Vishnu and Siva (Hindu gods) and the Vedic scriptures (Rg, Yajur and Sama).

The Om symbol itself represents the essence and the universe and sound is believed to be the first thing that God, Source the All created. Om is therefore chanted in the beginning of other Hindu mantras, meditation and prayers. Beside Hindus Jain and Buddhists also use this sound.

The symbol itself consists of three curves, the lower and biggest curve symbolizes the waking state where the consciousness is turned externally to our senses. This represents the majority of all beings. The upper curve is deep sleep and the unconscious state. And the middle curve is our deep sleep where we dream and our consciousness is turned internally. The dot within the symbol symbolizes the fourth state of consciousness and is our blissful state which is beyond the first three stages of consciousness. The semi circle symbolizes the illusion, maya, and is thus separated from the other shapes. This is the obstacle we have to overcome in order to become One.

So there you have it, study the symbols and sign around you and make sure that you tune into their resonance in order to benefit from their great powers.

Gemini New Moon

Today at 3.44 PM (EDT) we have a lovely and fun New Moon in Gemini, which is also the first new moon in a long time to be a Super Moon. At the Super Moon the moon is closer than usual to the earth and even if we can't see the moon at the New Moon, its energies are very powerful and strong. Most people feel the energy of the New Moon in one or another way, during the night either having difficulties sleeping throughout the night, or sleeping very deeply and having vivid dreams. We are all different therefore the celestial energies affect us in very different ways.

At the New Moons, we start a new moon cycle as well as a new emotional cycle. Every New Moon has its own theme depending on which sign it is in and what other planets are aspecting it. At this New Moon, we have the focus on the Gemini energy, because both moon and sun is in the sign of Gemini. The ruler of Gemini is the fast-moving planet Mercury and the symbol of Gemini is the Roman numeral 11, which represents duality and also a passage into a higher divine mind. The Gemini energy is very communicative (I have been very inspired to read, talk and speak during this week since the sun entered gemini). It is alos multi-faceted, adaptable, two-sided, curious, social and young. The spirit of Gemini is energetic, witty, bright and charming. These aspects within ourselves are being highlighted now and we have the chance to plant seeds that increase these abilities within our work, passions and how we express our essence in the world.

We are also given the chance to plant new ideas and thought patterns in order to re-create our daily thinking and logical mind. Do we use our minds to create positive energy within us or is the mind using us to create more doubt and fear? Remember that re-programming our minds are a part of a higher healing that will shift the consciousness of the collective in whole. We need to balance our logical and mundane thoughts, with visions and our soul's goals and visions (Sagittarius).

The Ruler of Gemini, Mercury is in the slow-moving and earthy Taurus which deals with our values and our physical pleasures. How do we communicate our values and what do we thinking logically about values within and around us?

The number 4 appears a lot in this New Moon which is the energy of foundation and creating solid things from the intentions that we set now. So take the time today/tonight, after the New Moon is completed and 48 hours forward (avoid moon void of course) and set important and powerful intentions for the 4 weeks ahead. If you are a Gemini or this is the first New Moon after your birthday, this is the time to set intentions for the upcoming year, closely related to these positive energies of Gemini. Don't forget to stay mindful, because Gemini could be very airy and mind-less, leading your to difficulties to make decisions, making you have dual thoughts and different opinions from moment to moment. Ground yourself in nature, observe your thoughts and consciously reshape your mind,.

Positive Affirmations

What are positive affirmations? I get this question quite often and I want to try to explain and give some tips on positive affirmations. The are kind of like mantras, when repeated they sink into our mind and consciousness and we become the affirmations that we focus on.

If you think about daily affirmations that go through your mind, they are most likely to be: I am tired, I am late, I am sad, I am not enough, etc. Most often we have been conditioned to think this way and we have been programmed with subconscious thoughts that we can't even hear in our mind, but that are running in the background. And as you know, thoughts are also matter, which means that the thoughts you think over and over, become your reality as we know. So what programs are running in your mind daily? Just as apps in the phone, our thoughts are constantly running in the background and are affecting the way we feel and think. How we perceive our reality is greatly shaped by these affirmations and they can determine how our life unfolds.

Because of this, we need to re-train and re-program our minds in order to start creating positive thought patterns in order to reach our goals and visions. Most importantly, we need to start having a . more loving self-talk and evolve into complete self-loving beings in order to love others  more deeply and purely. Mantras or daily affirmations can be said out loud or in silence within our minds. The most important thing is to repeat them daily and have patience that they will shift our minds and create more conscious awareness.

These are great affirmations that I have created throughout the years that you can repeat, early in the morning the first thing you do, while walking to work, or the last thing you do in the evening. Please try one of these for 7 days and let me know how this has affected you throughout the week:

I am Free I am Unique I am in Peace I am the master of my life I am the creator of my life.

I am Amazing. I am Alive. I am Abundance. I am Appreciative. I am Achieving everything I am thinking and dreaming about.

I am Blessed. I am Beautiful. I am Brave. I am Brilliant. I am Balanced Every moment of each day.

I am Complete. I am Compassionate. I am Calm. I am Confident. I am Connected to Nature and all Beings in it.

I am Determined. I am Deserving. I am Devoted. I am Dreaming. I am Doing everything that brings me joy and happiness.

I am Empowered. I am Empathetic. I am Enough. I am Enlightened. I am Eternal Energy having a human experience.

I am Fantastic. I am Forgiving. I am Fearless. I am Faithful. I am Fulfilling every dream and wish that I focus my energy and thoughts upon.

I am Grateful. I am Goodness. I am Giving. I am Genius. I and Greater than my mind and thoughts could ever grasp.

I am Happy. I am Harmonious. I am Humble. I am Helping. I am Hopeful with no doubts about my successes.

I am Intelligent. I am Irreplaceable. I am Inspirational. I am Independent. I am Illuminating with positive energy and love.

Move your energy!

We all know that we need food, water and sleep in order to keep our mind and body going each and everyday, but we can not forget about the crucial importance of physical movement everyday in order to keep our body vital and strong. Our bodies are designed and build to move everyday through walking, running, standing and our muscles need resistance in order to stay strong and to keep the rest of the body healthy. All of the trends within fitness and health are promoting a more active life and to decrease our sedentary lifestyles. We have become so accustomed to sitting down; in the car, at home, at work, on the bus, that we have forgotten how important it is to stay moving.

A important part of moving our bodies have to do with our Prana, our life force energy, that flows within our Nadis (energy vessels) through our energy centers and our main chakras. If you keep being stagnant, id does not matter how much you meditate or do your rituals, the energy within your body will not move as freely and rejuvenating as it is build to do.

Movement is not only practiced within a gym or fitness center, movement should be an integrated part of our daily routine. If we incorporate more movement on a daily basis, our bodies start adjusting to it and we start needing more movement and we start a healthy path up the health ladder. There are much more benefits to moving than just staying fit and some of those are:

- The less you use it, you loose it. All physical functions are there to be used, otherwise you will loose them with time and age.
- Keep your joints healthy and strong
- Get your natural energy moving within your body
- Helps loose fear and depression
- Keeps you in touch with yourself
- Walking around in nature helps you decrease and eliminate stress and depression
- Help regulating your mood
- Helps you sleep better
- Helps your hormones balanced

As you see the list can go on and on and there is more to physical activity than just shaping your body. The look of health is just a bonus of the actual benefit.
So you might be wondering what type of movements are great to do everyday. If you are not a regular athlete or exerciser, you might need to just incorporate some small routines into your daily life. I personally have the most energy to move in the morning, so I enjoy morning walks or runs. Other ways of having more movement throughout the day is:

- Walking or biking to work
- Standing up while working, which reduces the risk of disease and increases your strength in legs and core. Also it can reduce lower back pain and shoulder pains. Read more here.
- Taking the stairs
- Doing yoga and stretching in the morning to get energy moving and activating your whole body. Simple tips here.

When we move and exercise we do not actually loose as much energy as we gain in the long run and the more you use your body the more resistance it gets so you can stay naturally strong and healthy. Remember that moving is as important as resting and that none of those should overrule each other.

Detoxing - How and Why?

Picture

I bet you have heard a lot of about detoxing, juicing and other regimes that are meant to detoxify you body, but many of us do not really understand what the process of detoxification truly means and how to practice this every day.
¨
To answer the question of why to detox we need to understand that our liver is designed to get rid of toxins that we have in our body from external sources such as coffee, alcohol, processed foods, stress, prescription drugs, pesticides, personal care products, pollution and smoking (to mention a few). Also, if you have allergies to certain foods, these trigger reactions in the body that is harmful to your own cells. This is why detoxing is crucial in order to get rid of the toxins that get into our body through our lifestyle and the foods we eat.

Detoxing does not mean that you need to do hard-core fasting our juicing, it can also be achieved daily by simple routines and by reducing certain sources of toxins that enter your body.
Simple daily routines that you can incorporate:

- Drink tons of water, from the minute you wake up and throughout the day. Start by having one or two room temperatured water in the morning, add lemon to it to increase the purification process. Your body is approximately 60% water , your brain is 70% water and your skin is 64% water, so you truly need a lot of water to function in a healthy way.

- Get moving and focus on breathing deeply in order to get the oxygen levels up and become aware of your deep breathing and treat it as a way of detoxing.

- Use turmeric in your food, juices or smoothies since it is a detoxing superfood.

- Eat more plant based foods such as spinach, broccoli, beans, seeds, fruits etc. in order to get some living foods in you which helps with the natural detoxification process. The source of these greens are very important, locally grown and organic is preferable.
- You can also use a dry skin brush on your skin and dry brush your skin every day. Through this you stimulate the lymphatic drainage which is detoxing.

I just love making green smoothies daily, to get minerals, vitamins and naturally detoxing greens in my routine in a easy way. I always use a type of these sources mentioned below, in my smoothies:
- Spinach or kale
- Vitamin C sources such as orange or kiwi
- Any fruit that you just love
- Tumeric
- Ginger
- Spirulina
- Acai

These are just a few ingredients that I like to mix together and you can fin your own perfect blend when you start experimenting with different ingredients.

Mindfulness...how to practice it

5/19/2017

Picture

Mindfulness is a word that has been used more and more frequently and I think most people have heard the word, but do not really know what it actually means. Therefore, I want to share my view on mindfulness since we are living in a world which is sometimes "mind-less".
In our daily lives and routines, living in a big city with crowds of people and cars, it is not really how we as humans where designed to live. Nature has always been our home and stillness was a part of our lives for thousands of years. We do not have to fear big animals anymore, so the whole fight-or-flight response is not being triggered in the same way. However, we can see that this stress hormone is triggered within us when we are stressed, even if the situation is not a threat to our life. When we are rushing and stressing through life, without taking the time to be still, we are putting our bodies and minds in a very harmful state that in the long-term can lead to disease and pain in the body.
To be mindful, is to be aware of our own responses, having awareness in everything we do: eat, speak, act. The decisions we make, the intentions we hold, the thoughts we think can either come from a state of stress (fear) or from peace (love). We tend to invest our time in things that we are taught we HAVE to do and we neglect our own bodies, feeding ourselves harmful food and drinks, instead of nourishing the vehicle of our life.

Mindfulness is to let go of the negative self-talk that are going on in our heads and to letting go of shoulds. Instead, we have to understand our own purpose everyday we wake up, pay attention to our thoughts and actions, pay attention to others and to the nature.
There are massive amounts of research that has shown how meditation and mindfulness increases our health, vitality and happiness. Meditation does not have to be practiced just by sitting still and quieting the mind. We need to integrate meditation in everything we do:

- Being mindful and conscious while we are walking or running
- Being mindful and conscious while we are eating
- Being mindful of our conscious sleep (sitting or laying down meditation)
- Being mindful of our subconscious sleep (in the night)
- Being mindful and conscious of our speech and our thoughts
- Being mindful and conscious of our breathing
I will throughout these weeks also give tips of how to practice mindfulness daily and weekly.

Tip of the day

Some of you have probably thought about trying meditation but haven't known how. Don't worry, you don't need to go to an ashram or temple to do this, you can use simple practices at home, or in-between meetings throughout the day.

I strongly recommend the app Headspace and to do the 10-minute modules everyday to start with one routine that is easy, but that will make a huge difference in your mind.

Also, in-between meetings or of you are feeling the stress creep up, either take a walk outside in our beautiful nature here or sit in a quite room where you can do this simple breathing technique:

- Breathe in while counting to 5, hold your breath while counting to 6 and breathe our while counting to 7. This will help your mind and body to relax.

I am true to myself and others. I am true in my speech. I am true to my wishes and desires. I think and act truth. I stay true to my needs. I ask and receive truth. Truth is my essence, truth is I. ""SAT NAM has the power to clear the subconscious mind so that old wounds and programs no longer get in the way of Self-realization. It does so by changing the projection of our minds. Mantra means the projection of the mind. "Bij" or seed mantras use universal sound currents to rearrange the habit patterns of the mind. They do so by accessing the part of the mind that regulates habits. The sounds erase patterns that vibrate at lower frequencies or do not resonate with the Truth or our true essence. They establish new habits by replacing the old frequency with the higher frequency of the Truth. SAT resonates with universal Truth. Now is the time to shift our energy from mind to heart. Take collective decisions based on empathy and love. As we shift our collective dharma to the sign of Leo, we are letting go of the mind-driven collective consciousness to the heart-driven collective consciousness.
We first need to integrate this into our own lives in order to create this shift around us and in the world. Leo is courageous, loving, empowered and the light and sun of the zodiac. Step into this aspect of you and use your uniqueness to spread more love in the world.

Rest...

What is sleep to you? A great time to restore mind, body and soul, or just a necessity? Do you get enough sleep or do you sleep too much? As we are living in an efficiency focused society where we need to optimize our time to fit in work, family and pleasure, sleep tends to be our lowest priority. Many of us have the mentality that the less we sleep and the more we are awake (but still feel energized), the better and the more we can accomplish. This couldn't be further from the truth.

Our bodies are designed to follow the rhythm of nature and we are designed to have around 7.5-8 hours of sleep to recover and to boost our immune system, to have healthy brain functioning and a healthy metabolism. When we think that we can get energy from external resources such as caffeine, we are only tricking the body into feeling awake and energized instead of lettings ourselves feel if we have had enough sleep or not. Are you craving coffee the first thing in the morning? Then probably you do not sleep enough or have great quality of sleep. Also, this can be a harmful cycle, where we have more caffeine because we do not sleep enough or well and the caffeine itself inhibits us from having high quality sleep due to its toxic effect on our hormones and natural balance. When you wake up the body needs hydration, so the first thing you should be drinking is water (room temperature) instead of coffee that is dehydrating.
We know that healthy eating and movement is important for our health, but could we also view sleep as an important pillar and fundamental factor in staying healthy and alive? If you want to live a long and healthy life, avoid burning out, having healthy metabolism, having a clear mind and memory, you need to prioritize your sleep before video games, movies and drinks. Keep in mind that your diet also affects your sleep, therefore having a healthy diet makes it easier to fall asleep as well as waking up early.
Sleep is also a way of us processing all the impressions we have in our daily lives and a way of getting rid of thoughts and processes that we have accumulated. So in truth, sleep helps us become more efficient in our daily work.

Honor your body by honoring your sleep...
